The APRS and the E-Health Research Centre are jointly hosting a one-day workshop on image processing and pattern recognition in Brisbane on Monday the 21st  of February, 2005. The theme for the keynote and one oral session will be "Pattern Recognition and Imaging for Medical Applications".  Although papers with a medical theme will be given priority for the morning oral sessions, papers on topics of general interest to the image processing and pattern recognition community are also welcomed as listed below.  All papers will be  internationally reviewed to meet E1 publication requirements and the proceedings will be available at the workshop in CDROM format with a booklet of printed abstracts.  A printed version of the proceedings may be ordered at additional cost.
